Doppeltür Foundation – this is where we think, plan and finance.

Double doors is also a concept we are experiencing in an institutional sense – one door leads into the Doppeltür Association, the other into the Doppeltür Foundation. 

The Doppeltür Foundation is responsible for the exhibition buildings, fundraising and relations with the public sector.

The Board of Trustees – committed, experienced and well-connected

The current Board of Trustees consists of three individuals who have supported and shaped the Doppeltür project since its inception:

  • Lukas Keller, former mayor of Endingen,
  • Franz Bertschi, former mayor of Lengnau,
  • Esther Girsberger, publicist and entrepreneur

The bring with them many years of experience in politics, media and community work – and, above all, a close connection to the Surbtal and to Doppeltür’s missions. This lean organisational set-up for the Board of Trustees ensures continuity, rapid decision-making processes, and close coordination with the association’s Executive Board.

After the 2028 opening, the Board of Trustees will be expanded and restructured to reflect its new responsibilities.
