Exercise-challenge race for schoolchildren

Get to know everyday Jewish life in a fun way. The exercise-challenge race for schoolchildren from the ages of 8 to 14 offers fascinating insights and takes them through architectural highlights of Jewish history.

Teachers receive suitable materials in advance to prepare for the excursion and then to explore the topics in greater depth with their classes.

Time & duration

Guided tours begin at 10:00 am, 1:30 pm or 3:00 pm and last about 2 hours.

No tours are offered on Saturdays or public holidays.

CHF 240.– per group (no more than 30 persons)
Express surcharge for tours booked within 24 hours: CHF 50.00
Rebooking fee: CHF 40.00

Tours may be cancelled free of charge up to 72 hours in advance; thereafter a CHF 100.00 fee will be charged.


Other information

  • Tours start at the synagogue in Endingen.
  • The tours take place outdoors and regardless of weather conditions. So, it is important to dress appropriately for any weather conditions.
  • The exercise-challenge race has time limits. So, the youngsters should ideally have a watch with them.
  • Tours are suitable for all ages.
  • Limited tours are available for persons with walking difficulties (please indicate this when booking).
  • To get to the cemetery, you may use either your own car or the bus (Endingen bus stops: Zentrum-israelitischer Friedhof (Centre-Jewish cemetery) / Lengnau bus stops: Brücke-israelitischer Friedhof (bridge-Jewish cemetery)).
  • Insurance is optional and is the responsibility of the participants.
  • A visit to the cemetery is not included in the tour but can be booked separately.
  • Four additional modules are available for older schoolchildren; they can be found on the website.
