Tour through Endingen or Lengnau with a visit to the Jewish cemetery

A guided tour through one of the two villages provides insight into the coexistence of Jews and Christians, as well as into the region’s rich Jewish history. The guided tour also fascinates visitors with facts about Jewish buildings such as the mikveh, the characteristic double-doored houses, and the Margoa Jewish retirement and nursing home in Lengnau. A particularly impressive moment is the visit to the synagogue and a quiet moment in the Jewish cemetery – places that recount lives full of tradition and community spirit.

Guided tours begin at 10:00 am, 1:30 pm or 3:00 pm and last about 2 hours.

No tours are offered on Saturdays or public holidays.

Express surcharge for tours booked within 24 hours: CHF 50.00
Rebooking fee: CHF 40.00

Tours may be cancelled free of charge up to 72 hours in advance; thereafter a CHF 100.00 fee will be charged.

  • To get to the cemetery, you may use either your own car or the bus (Endingen bus stops: Zentrum-israelitischer Friedhof (Centre-Jewish cemetery) / Lengnau bus stops: Brücke-israelitischer Friedhof (bridge-Jewish cemetery)).
  • Insurance is optional and is the responsibility of the participants.
